Recently...

The almighty To-Do list…
Most of my concentration this past week has been organizing and DECREASING the humongo To-Do list. I have, in true engineer style, reorganized it from a normal list to an action item list, essentially. Including priorities, RI (= responsible individual which is my name down the line except for one thing I have delegated to Jon), and of course, status so I can sort out all the old actions & it looks progressively smaller and smaller!

On the top of my list right now is making the invitations and sending them out and preparation for this (printing out address labels – which is now possible thanks to Ma Mere who just gave me all the addresses I need). Finalizing plans with Marlene (of Main street florist in Cazenovia), Kevin Colangelo (our DJ), making reservations to book up the salon for the morning of the wedding for purposes of beautification, also booking trial runs on hair and makeup related beautification, ironing out all the ceremony details (musicians, order of events, readings, music, decorations, ETC), dress alterations, finding a veil. And those are just the priority 1 and 2 items. I’m not even including in that the priority 3-8 (there are 7 viable weeks until the wedding and an extra for the week after before the honeymoon).

So that’s the story. Nothing too exciting – just cranking these things out. I keep on telling myself that I will feel better once “x, Y, and Z” gets done, but the thing I don’t realize is that AA, AB, and AC are following closely in X, Y, and Z’s path!

Blessing from above: that the New Jersey shower was cancelled. Don't get me wrong - it would have been fun to meet a lot of Jon's side of the friends and family, but I guess it was a bad weekend – everyone was on vacation or at weddings, or wherever. So it had to be cancelled. But as bad as this sounds, its kind of relieving since I have so many things to do!

It's crazy to think that this will all be done in 51 days... I'm looking foward to being married & going on the honeymoon and relaxing! I'll need it after the CRAZY past 6 months I've had.

Off to my first dress fitting! hopefully they can reign it all in & make it beautiful for me. :)
